STATEMENT OF ACTIVITIES

Theatre versus oppression is involved in the following activities

1.   Running workshops for targeted groups;
 

2.   Training trainers in dramatherapy and theatre of the oppressed techniques;
 

3.   Working on long term projects with specific groups dealing with trauma based issues;
 

4.   Producing theatre work (and other work in the arts where relevant);
 

5.   Publishing works produced in the countries projects originated when possible;
 

6.   Working with outreach groups to produce theatre (eg children with behavioural issues, asylum seekers, abused women, expolitical prisoners etc);
 

7.   Working with other organisations to develop the art aspect/dramatherapy training of a human rights project (eg have worked with UNIFEM, Foundation SYD, Amnesty International & various NGOs in different countries);

8.   Providing workshops and lectures to secondary and tertiary educational establishments.
